Site Manager
Location: Stafford, Staffordshire
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + Vehicle Allowance & Package

The Company
Our client is an established construction contractor delivering high-quality refurbishment, retrofit and residential projects across the Midlands.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to lead the delivery of a major refurbishment and conversion project in Staffordshire.
The Project
- The project involves the conversion of an existing industrial facility into 28 high-quality residential apartments.
- The project is valued at approximately £2 million and has an anticipated programme duration of 12 months.
- This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager with a background in residential refurbishment, apartment developments or complex retrofit projects to take ownership of a project from start through to completion.
The Role
As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and successful delivery of the project, ensuring works are completed safely, to the required quality standards, on programme and within budget.
Typical responsibilities will include:
- Managing the day-to-day construction activities on site
- Planning, coordinating and monitoring all site works in line with the construction programme
- Managing subcontractors and ensuring all works are completed to the required standards
- Maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance
- Carrying out regular site inspections, toolbox talks and safety briefings
- Monitoring project progress and identifying potential delays or programme risks
- Coordinating the delivery of materials, plant and equipment
- Managing quality control and ensuring works are completed in line with project specifications
- Working closely with the Contracts Manager, Quantity Surveyor, design team and client representatives.
- Managing site documentation, including site diaries, progress reports and health and safety records.
- Overseeing snagging and ensuring the project is completed to a high standard.
- Maintaining positive working relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and the wider project team.
The Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience working as a Site Manager within the construction industry.
- Experience delivering residential developments, apartment schemes or residential refurbishment projects
- Previous experience working on refurbishment, fit-out, conversion or retrofit projects
- Experience managing multiple subcontract packages and coordinating site activities
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, health and safety requirements and quality control
- Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills
- The ability to manage project programmes and work effectively within tight deadlines
- A proactive and hands-on approach to site management
