Location: Worcestershire
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 + £5,000 Car Allowance + 34 days annual leave, Private Medical Care, Life assurance, enhanced Pension & Additional company benefits

An established and highly respected UK construction contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join its Building division in the Midlands & South West. The business delivers a diverse portfolio of projects across the public and private sectors, with a strong presence in healthcare, education and commercial construction.

The Role

Reporting into the Senior Management Team, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of construction projects from site mobilisation through to completion. You will lead site operations, manage subcontractors and ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

 

Working closely with clients, consultants and internal stakeholders, you will play a key role in maintaining programme performance, driving health and safety compliance, and ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and within budget
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and project teams to achieve successful project outcomes
  • Chair site meetings and proactively resolve construction and programme-related issues
  • Monitor project progress and maintain accurate site records and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, environmental and quality standards
  • Support commercial objectives through effective site management and resource planning
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and stakeholders
  • Assist with project handover and aftercare activities
  • Support the development and mentoring of junior team members where required

About You

To be considered, you will have previous experience working as a Site Manager within a main contracting environment and a proven track record delivering construction projects within sectors such as healthcare, education, or other public-sector frameworks.

You will also possess:

  • Strong technical construction knowledge
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • The ability to build effective relationships with clients and project stakeholders
  • Strong IT skills and experience with project planning software (Asta Powerproject experience would be advantageous)
  • HNC/HND or equivalent construction qualification
  • CITB SMSTS Certification
  • Valid CSCS Card
