About the Role

This Site Manager role will see you overseeing multiple water and wastewater projects across the Cumbria area, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme.

You will be responsible for day-to-day site operations, managing teams on site, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

This role would suit someone who is organised, effective, and efficient in their approach, with the ability to keep projects moving and maintain control across multiple sites.

 

The key responsibilities for this Site Manager role are:

Manage day-to-day site operations across multiple projects
Coordinate subcontractors and site teams to maintain programme
Ensure all works are delivered safely and in line with regulations
Monitor quality and ensure work meets required standards
Plan and organise labour, materials, and plant effectively
Liaise with Project Managers, clients, and stakeholders
Maintain accurate site records and reporting
Identify and resolve issues to keep projects on track

 

Experience required for this Site Manager role are:

5 to 10 years' experience in a Site Manager role within the water sector
Strong background in water or wastewater infrastructure
Experience working across multiple sites or projects
Good understanding of health and safety and site compliance
Valid SMSTS and CSCS certification

 

Desirable knowledge, skills and experience for this Site Manager role are:

Experience working on utility frameworks
Knowledge of civil and MEICA works
Strong organisational and planning skills
Ability to lead and motivate site teams
