SHEQ Manager

Job Description

This is a great opportunity for an experienced SHEQ Manager to join a fantastic SHEQ team who are responsible for leading the Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality performance. 

The company are a leading contractor within the Energy Sector working closely with the client you will ensure a strategic and proactive approach to managing SHEQ performance ensuring compliance with relevant statute, regulatory, Client, MES standards and specifications, whilst driving continual improvement. You will support ongoing relationships and frameworks with existing clients, and agreed strategic targets, in line with a defined SHEQ plan.

Key responsibilities for this SHEQ Manager role:

  • Effective and visible leadership of all aspects of SHEQ
  • Determine and ensure compliance against company, client and legislative requirements
  • Ongoing development and delivery of the SHEQ Plan and associated process to drive continual improvement
  • Ensure alignment with client/ MES vision and values and performance requirements
  • Ensure SHEQ requirements as a minimum meet MES and Client standards
  • Work closely with all management levels in the  team to effectively deliver SHEQ performance on all projects
  • Manage the monthly reporting process information, both internally and to clients
  • Monitor/review all relevant aspects of SHEQ standards
  • Present performance information at contract and client meetings as required
  • Build a skilled and sustainable SHEQ team to support programme assurance
  • Assist in the contract competence including manage the implementation and delivery of MES Group training courses, initiatives, and contract inductions
  • Implement and manage any Incident and Accident investigations including Root Cause Analysis reports, in a timely manner, in in accordance with MES and client requirements
  • Liaise and collaborate with MES Central SHEQ

Experience required for this SHEQ Manager role:

  • Knowledge of Business Management System and contract procedures
  • Knowledge of legislative requirements and best practice in Safety, Health, Environment & Quality
  • Knowledge of SPEN and non-infrastructure capital works
  • NEBOSH Construction / General Certificate
  • Full UK driving license
  • CSCS Card or equivalent

Package offered for this SHEQ Manager role:

  • Up to £50,000 depending on experince
