SHEQ Advisor – Sunderland/Washington

A great opportunity for a SHEQ Advisor to join one of the biggest compaines in the UK, who are looking to expand further and are keen to get a strong SHEQ Advisor on board to help with their visions

The SHEQ Advisor role requires you to help drive, motivate, inspire, and encourage colleagues to achieve and sustain world class health, safety and environmental performance and to help drive responsibility and accountability on telecommunications projects and drive engagement and collaboration across delivery teams regarding all aspects of health and safety

SHEQ Advisor Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate and influence effectively at all organisational levels (including Senior Managers) 
  • Ability to recommend preventative action, develop new initiatives and co-ordinate or ensure their implementation 
  • Ability to develop & deliver training/briefing material in an innovative, enjoyable but effective way 
  • Experienced in auditing and root cause analysis techniques
  • Ability to identify and assess patterns of resistance and effective problem-solving skills 
  • A good understanding of CDM Regulations, specifically in relation to Client, Principal Designer & Principal Contractor role.

SHEQ Advisor Qualifications : Essential (at appointment):

  • NEBOSH Certificate 
  • Knowledge & experience of Environmental management requirements.
  • Current full UK driving license 

Desirable: 

  • Diploma in Health & Safety and or considerable relevant SHE & telecommunications industry experience.  
  • Formal auditor training ISO 9001 /14001/18001 trained
