Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Slough, Greater London & surrounding areas
Salary: £80,000-£90,000 plus car allowance and great company benefits
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

One of my key clients, a growing main contractor specialising in construction and design & build projects, are looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.

The successful candidate will work across a varied portfolio of residential and commercial projects, while also supporting pre-construction activities. With further opportunities across London and the surrounding areas as the business continues to grow, the role offers genuine commercial ownership, exposure across the full project lifecycle and the flexibility to work from home alongside office and site-based responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Take commercial ownership of projects from pre-construction through to completion.
Manage CVRs, forecasting, cost reporting, valuations, cash flow and final accounts.
Lead subcontract procurement, including tendering, negotiation, payments, variations and final accounts.
Manage change, commercial risk and contractual matters, protecting the company's position.
Support pre-construction activities including cost planning, tendering and value engineering.
Work closely with clients, consultants, project teams and subcontractors to drive successful outcomes.
Provide commercial advice and support throughout project delivery.

About You

Experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor from a main contracting, construction or design & build background.
Strong experience across procurement, cost control, forecasting, change and final accounts.
Ideally experienced across residential construction and/or pre-construction environments, with a good understanding of construction management arrangements and delivery models.
Commercially astute with strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
Self-motivated, organised and able to work autonomously.
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a relevant discipline is desirable but not essential.
Full UK driving licence.
