Title: Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Yorkshire
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 12 months
Pay Method: Inside IR35 (PAYE)
We are currently seeking an experienced Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor to support major flood alleviation and infrastructure projects in the Yorkshire Region This role will focus heavily on pre-tender cost reporting, commercial management and cost planning across a portfolio of civil engineering schemes.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and manage detailed pre-tender cost reports

Develop cost estimates, budgets, and commercial forecasts

Support procurement and tender evaluation processes

Work closely with project managers, engineers, and design teams

Monitor project costs and identify commercial risks/opportunities

Ensure compliance with contract requirements and industry standards
Requirements

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or infrastructure projects

Strong background in flood alleviation, water, utilities, or environmental schemes preferred

Excellent knowledge of pre-contract and pre-tender cost management

Experience with NEC contracts desirable

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
