Senior Quantity Surveyor
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a main contractor and work on a large-scale flood defence project in Portsmouth.
The company is a growing main contractor with a proven track record within the Civil Engineering, Infrastructure and Water sector across the UK.
Your role as Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will support project leaders in generating a high standard of service delivery, achieving successful outcomes, capturing, and sharing knowledge across projects and enhancing our culture of innovation.

Key responsibilities for this role:
- Ensure commercial compliance of current contracts, protecting the position of the company.
- Report to Commercial Manager about the subcontract status.
- Assist senior staff in pricing variations
- Cost control.
- Support the Commercial and Contract Managers with monthly project cost reports and progress reports.
Experience required for this role:
- Minimum BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
- Previous NEC contract experience (NEC3 or NEC4 option C)
- Demonstrable negotiation and presentation skills
- Ability to work on own initiative, prioritise work to deadlines and pay attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and organisation ability combined with good problem-solving skills.
- Coastal/Flood Defence/Heavy Civils Background
Package offered :
£350 - £450 p/d DOE
