We have a current opportunity for a Senior Project Manager on a contract basis. The position will be based in Angmering, West Sussex.

Duties
Responsible for leading the delivery of the project in line with the programme through:

- Thoroughly understanding, and potentially developing, the scope of works.
- Actively managing the programme for all areas of work, ensuring works are completed on time, or reporting upwards where programme changes are required.
- Managing the activity and resources, including coordinating high risk works, required to deliver the project safely, to a high quality standard, on time and to budget, in line with the relevant drawings and specification.
- Overseeing subcontractor performance, swiftly resolving disciplinary matters where required.
- Managing all construction team members through setting clear performance expectations and objectives; providing regular, specific feedback on performance; enabling individual progression and promptly managing underperformance in line with the company's performance management process.
- Promoting a safe culture for everyone; complying with all statutory, company Health & Safety standards and policies
- Reporting on the project on a weekly basis, including programme progress, quality, cost and key issues.
- Contractually and commercially protecting the Company; ensuring you are making the right decisions and being aware of the potential repercussions of these.
- Maintaining adequate records through meeting minutes, photographs, site diaries, follow-up emails etc.
- Proactively resolving issues by working collaboratively with the relevant team(s) and/or department(s).
- Developing and implementing quality assurance policy and procedures at a project level.
- Ensuring compliance with company quality control procedures.
- Proposing and, where relevant, implementing improvements to procedures and/or systems through the correct process.
- Being inquisitive and quality-oriented about everything; challenging things that seem wrong.
- Supporting all business functions, helping to solve problems, coordinate solutions, offer advice.
- Chairing meetings as required (e.g. project reviews, inter-departmental meetings, subcontractor meetings, toolbox talks).
- Promote the company's brand and reputation through professional presentation and communication.
