£45,000 - £58,000 per annum, dependant on experience plus package.

Working for a specialist rail engineering and design consultancy bringing together individuals with extensive experience across all rail infrastructure types, including intercity, suburban, freight, light rail, metro, stations and depots.
Looking for Intermediate, Senior and Principal Level Engineers
To be suitable for the Track Design Engineer position you must have
- Good underpinning knowledge of track engineering design principles, standards and components.
- Understanding of railway track systems. Appropriate degree, HND or higher qualification.
- Hands-on experience of production and checking of outline and detailed track designs and calculations.
- Experience of Plain Line, Switch & Crossings (S&C), Depot design and other track engineering components (Drainage, formation, etc)
Although not essential it would also be advantageous if you have
- Relevant Qualifications (HNC /Degree)
- Membership of (or working towards) the Permanent Way Institution
Track Design Engineer Role Information
- To provide excellent track design capability to track and other rail projects.
- To provide high quality engineering skills and technical knowledge of track engineering.
- Responsible for the production and checking of detailed track designs and calculations.
- Responsible for outline and detailed track engineering design input and calculations (concepts / track design principles) to multidisciplinary design teams on other large or medium sized projects.
