Senior Estimator Opportunity | Greater Manchester
I am currently recruiting for a Senior Estimator / Estimator to join a well-established civil engineering and infrastructure contractor delivering major projects across the Northwest.
Location: Greater Manchester
Salary: £80,000 - £95,000 + package
Position: Permanent | Full-time
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business with secured long-term frameworks across infrastructure, highways, utilities, and wastewater sectors.
Key responsibilities:
- Preparing detailed estimates from first principles
- Reviewing tender documentation and completing take-offs
- Managing subcontractor and supplier enquiries
- Supporting the preparation of competitive tender submissions
- Working closely with commercial and operational teams throughout the tender process
Requirements:
- HND/HNC in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years' estimating experience within civil engineering
- Strong background in infrastructure, highways, utilities, or wastewater projects
- Previous site-based civils experience preferred
- Good understanding of NEC contracts, CESMM, HWMM & SMM7
- Experience using estimating software such as Causeway, Candy, Conquest, or Valesco
