Senior Electrical Design Engineer - Data Centre & Mission-Critical MEP (London)

We're looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our client's team in London, delivering electrical design across data centre and mission-critical facilities in the UK and international markets.
What you'll be doing in this Senior Electrical Design Engineer position:
- Deliver electrical design across concept, schematic, detailed design and construction-support stages
- Prepare and review calculations, specifications, reports, drawings and submissions
- Ensure compliance with UK standards (BS 7671, Building Regulations) and international standards
- Provide technical input to resolve design and coordination challenges
- Coordinate with mechanical, public health, structural, architectural and specialist disciplines
- Participate in technical workshops, design reviews and client meetings
- Support client engagement during technical discussions and design coordination
- Support construction-stage design clarifications, site visits and commissioning reviews
- Provide technical mentoring and guidance to intermediate and associate engineers
What we're looking for in this Senior Electrical Design Engineer position:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering (accredited university)
- 6-10 years of relevant consultancy experience
- Demonstrated delivery of Data Centre / mission-critical electrical design
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams, ideally in an international consultancy environment
- Chartered Engineer (IET) or working towards professional accreditation
- Strong knowledge of electrical infrastructure resilience and redundancy philosophies (N+1, 2N, Concurrent Maintainability)
- Experience with LV/MV power distribution, standby generation and UPS system design
- Familiarity with UK DNO connection processes (G98/G99/G100) and switchgear/protection coordination
- Exposure to Tier III / IV data centre design is a strong plus
