We are looking for an experienced Senior Design Manager to join a well established contractor on a major healthcare scheme in the West Midlands. This is a key role at preconstruction stage, offering the opportunity to shape the project from the outset.
Role
Lead the design process through preconstruction, working closely with commercial and bid teams to develop coordinated, compliant and buildable solutions. You will manage consultants, drive design programmes, identify and mitigate risk, and ensure a smooth transition into delivery.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Senior Design Manager within a main contractor environment
Strong preconstruction experience, ideally on large or complex schemes
Healthcare project experience is highly desirable
Background in structural, civil or concrete frame construction preferred
Confident managing consultants and engaging with key stakeholders
