Quantity Surveyor - Residential Housebuilding
Location: Derby
Salary: Up to £55,000-£60,000 plus package
A leading residential construction business is looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Derby. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused QS to join a successful organisation delivering high-quality residential developments.
The ideal candidate will have a background in residential construction, ideally gained with a main contractor or housebuilder, with experience managing the commercial aspects of housing projects from procurement through to final account.
Key responsibilities:

Managing project costs throughout the construction lifecycle

Preparing valuations, cost reports, forecasts, and financial updates

Managing subcontractor accounts, variations, and payments

Supporting procurement and package management

Working closely with site teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and profitably

Maintaining strong commercial control across projects
Ideal experience:

Quantity Surveying experience within residential construction

Background with a main contractor, residential developer, or housebuilder

Experience managing subcontract packages and project costs

Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Package: Up to £55,000-£60,000 plus a competitive benefits package.
