Quantity Surveyor - Nuclear / Defence Projects
Location: Bolton (Hybrid Working Available)
Salary: Up to £50,000 + Benefits
We are currently working exclusively with a UK engineering contractor delivering complex projects across nuclear, defence, and highly regulated environments.
Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in Bolton.
Overview - Quantity Surveyor
This is a well rounded commercial position offering full exposure across the project lifecycle. You will work closely with senior leadership and project teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently from a commercial perspective.
Key Responsibilities - Quantity Surveyor
- Managing subcontractor procurement and commercial performance
- Administering variations, change control, and contractual notices
- Producing cost reports, forecasts, and CVRs
- Supporting project delivery teams to manage cost, risk, and value
- Managing projects through to final accounts
Key Skills - Quantity Surveyor
- 5+ years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a contractor or project delivery environment
- Experience working on nuclear, defence, energy, or other regulated infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of JCT or NEC contracts
- Confident managing subcontractors, variations, and commercial reporting
- Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with project teams

- Salary up to £50,000
- Early finish on Fridays (typically around 1pm)
