Quantity Surveryor

I've partnered with a leading global technology infrastructure specialist to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of large-scale Hyperscale Data Centre projects across the APAC region.

This organisation has over 30 years of experience delivering critical infrastructure solutions worldwide and employs more than 800 specialists across multiple international locations. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of data centre projects, they are seeking a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

The Opportunity

The successful Quantity Surveyor will work closely with Project Managers, Operations Managers and Commercial teams to ensure robust commercial governance throughout the project lifecycle. This position requires a proactive individual who can identify commercial risks before they impact project performance, while also driving best practice and contractual compliance across site teams.

Key Responsibilities

As the Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing commercial support to project delivery teams to ensure contractual compliance and financial control. 

  • Monitoring project costs, budgets and forecasts to maintain project profitability. 

  • Managing variations, change orders and claims, ensuring all commercial opportunities are captured. 

  • Administering main contracts and subcontract agreements. 

  • Supporting commercial negotiations with clients, contractors and suppliers. 

  • Developing and maintaining strong client relationships. 

  • Ensuring business processes and commercial procedures are followed consistently across project teams. 

  • Reviewing contract documentation and preparing substantiated claims where required. 

  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and commercial best practice across the business. 

Candidate Requirements

  • Strong experience working within construction, ICT infrastructure, telecommunications, structured cabling or security installations. 

  • Proven experience delivering Hyperscale Data Centre projects. 

  • Extensive knowledge of project contracts, commercial management and project delivery processes. 

  • Experience managing variations, claims and contractual disputes. 

  • Previous experience negotiating with Tier 1 Main Contractors across APAC. 

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. 

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to protect and improve project margins.  

  • Experience producing and delivering client-facing presentations. 

  • Willingness to travel as required. 

Desirable Qualifications

  • PRINCE2 , Certified Telecommunications Project Manager (CTPM), BICSI, ITIL Foundation, MSP
