Project Manager FTTP

Job Description

I have an opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join an FTTP telecoms infrastructure specialist in Sheffield. This role is a hybrid working opportunity in Sheffield where you will be expected in the office 3 days a week.

The Role:

- Responsible for accomplishing project objectives.
- Responsible for personnel within the delivery of projects including field engineers and coordinators.
- Creating clear project objectives, managing constraints whilst accounting for cost, time, scope and quality.
- Act as client representative to meet the needs of client.
- Responsible for approving budget of day to day activities in projects.
- Approve project delivery & provide escalations to senior staff members.

Responsilibies:

- Develop build practices within timeframes across FTTP.
- Supporting SMT with build activity updates.
- Audit completed works.
- Liaise with contractors.
- Deal with suppliers resolving build issues.
- Improve processes to improve speed of delivery.
- Ensure design drawings are accurate.
- Oversee H&S risks.
- Reporting on RAMS.
- Work closely with field engineers to support training and development.
- Understand full project roadmap and company goals / objectives.
- Lead end-to-end projects.
- Lead the project team by co-ordinately delivery activities ensuring milestones are met.
- Site visits.
- Accountable for execution of programme budget.
- Encourage cost-saving reductions.
- Assess teams performance, research and develop new capabilities which can be applied to the project.

Requirements:

- Background in FTTP Build Management.
- Experience managing FTTP projects.
- Knowledge of FTTP / FTTX / FWA Deployment.
- H&S Certifications.
- Knowledge of Wireless, Optical and Fixed Line Telecoms.
- MS Office Skills.
- Prince2.
- Field and Project Based knowledge / experience.
- Ability to interpret and read detailed drawings and methodology.
- Logical and effective problem solver.
- Highly motivated, energetic with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Ability to manage conflict.
- Thrives in a high pressure, fast working environment.
