We are looking to recruit an experienced Freelance Project Manager to oversee the delivery of ground investigation works across major power and utilities projects,
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site investigation programmes from planning through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with client expectations. This role will involve close coordination with technical teams and subcontractors across complex infrastructure environments.
Key responsibilities will include:

Managing ground investigation projects for power transmission and utilities schemes

Overseeing programme delivery, budgets, commercial performance, and resource planning

Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards at all stages of the works

Acting as the main point of contact for clients and contractors

Reviewing technical outputs, reports, and site data to ensure project requirements are achieved

Supporting planning, logistics, permits, and access arrangements on live infrastructure projects
Candidates should have previous experience managing ground investigation or geotechnical projects within the power, utilities, or wider infrastructure sectors. Experience working on National Grid or similar transmission-related schemes would be highly advantageous.
