Project Manager

An exciting opportunity to join a leading company who specialise in rail handling and rail logistics, providing a highly successful range of services on the rail infrastructure. It is an exciting time to join in the evolution of the business, with a newly formed leadership team focused on improving processes and infrastructure. 

The Project Manager will be responsible for establishing a project management discipline to ensure prioritisation and delivery of group projects. Projects will include strategic engineering developments, system implementations and other group priorities.

 

 

Key responsibilities for this Project Manager role:

  • Determine a project methodology for the group which includes shaping how a project is defined and managed through to completion.
  • Ensure all processes and templates are approved by the CEO.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of multiple projects.
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
  • Manage the relationship with the client and relevant stakeholders.
  • Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members.
  • Responsible for developing the appropriate organisational structure, resource plans and culture tosupport the business objectives and customer deliverables.
  • Track project performance.

 

Experience required for this Project Manager role:

  • Ideally five years+ related experience in project management, planning and tracking.
  • Project Management Qualification (Prince2 etc)
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency with project management tools and related technology.
  • Experience of working with business stakeholders.
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership, drive results, solve problems, and possess interpersonal skills.

 

Package offered for this role:

- Competitive salary dependent on experience
