Project Manager

Location: York or Crewe

An opportunity to join a leading Electrical Engineering specialist, offering bespoke electrical engineering solutions nationwide to the rail electrification and electrical supply industry markets.


I am looking to speak with project managers with either Rail Electrification or Electrical Supply backgrounds to be responsible for day to day coordination of all aspects of projects, leading a small team of engineering on specific projects.


Key responsibilities for this Project Manager role:


- To undertake the role of Project Manager on specific projects as required.
- To manage the technical coordination of project areas on behalf of the directors to ensure that all engineering works are completed to programme and to the required quality.
- Attend weekly project review meetings to review progress and set targets in accordance with overall programmes.
- Liaise with the client, contractors and third parties.
- Ensure that all members of the engineering team under your control are fully briefed, competent and in control.
- Prepare monthly project reports including commercial status.


Experience required for this Project Manager role:


- HNC/HND or Degree in relevant discipline
- IOSH - desirable
- Previous experience within PM role or similar.
- Rail experience needed - Electrification/Electrical Supply
- Experience with Switchgear, protection systems, private networks and substations.

Package offered for this role:


- Circa £50,000
- 33 days annual leave inc BH's
