About the Role
This role sits within both the pre-construction and project delivery teams, supporting bids through to live project execution. You will be responsible for developing programmes at tender stage and ensuring a smooth transition into delivery.

You will work closely with bid teams, project managers and site teams, influencing methodology, sequencing and programme strategy. The role also involves maintaining and updating live programmes, supporting performance reporting and advising on programme risks and changes.

 

The key requirements for this Planner role are:

  • Develop and manage tender and construction programmes
  • Support bid teams with programme strategy and sequencing
  • Update and monitor live project programmes
  • Introduce and manage change within programmes
  • Resource and cost load programmes
  • Provide programme analysis and reporting
  • Support project teams with short-term planning
  • Review and assess supply chain programmes
  • Ensure smooth handover from tender to delivery

 

Experience required for this Planner role are:

  • Proven experience as a Planner within a main contractor environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6
  • Experience supporting tender and bid planning activities
  • Ability to build programmes from first principles
  • Understanding of construction methods and sequencing
  • Experience with NEC forms of contract
  • Ability to analyse programmes and identify risks and impacts
  • Experience in progress monitoring and reporting

 

Desirable knowledge, skills and experience for this Planner role are:

  • Experience coaching or supporting junior planners
  • Exposure to multi-sector construction projects
  • Experience with resource and cost loading
