I am currently working with a main contractor who are currently looking for an M&E Manager to join their team and handle multiple sites across the south-coast and south-east.
This role would involve alot of travel and accomodation/mileage will be provided. Ideal candidates will be expected to stay near to sites during the week- so this position would suit someone who is happy to travel/live elsewhere during the week.
Key Duties:
- Develop the Design alongside the technical team
- Quality Check Drawings and specifications
- Value Engineer the Design where appropriate
- Advise on alternative solutions and products
- Assist in closing out M&E related Planning/S106 conditions
- Input and create scoping documents
- Review and advise on programming timescales, sequencing and hold points for QA
- Attend Design reviews
- Knowledgeable in up to date regulations (future homes etc)
- Analysis and interrogate subcontractors submissions
- Attend Subcontractor interviews / Tender review meetings / Pre start meetings
- Manage change control
- Manage RFI’s
- Risk and opportunity reviews
- Track record of involvement on large scale projects
- Coordination of utilities
- Manage QA on site
- Attend weekly subcontractor meetings
- Manage Benchmarking and show units from an M&E Perspective
- Assist in obtaining Warranties, product guarantees, O&M Manuals and other contractual obligations alongside technical
- Assist the commercial team in valuations
- Understand the importance of health and safety
- Role is site based
- Reporting into Project director as the role is multi disciplines.
On offer is a starting salary of up to £85,000 plus benefits. Alternatively my client are happy to pay a day rate if that is preferred.
A strong technical knowledge is a must.
