Our client is an established ICI general contractor in Toronto with a dedication to ICI new builds and renovations. They are looking for an Intermediate Estimator,

Complete take-offs and project estimates including the cost of materials, labor, and equipment required for projects based on contract bids, quotations, schematic drawings, and specifications
Maintain company tendering process, cost monitoring, reporting systems, and procedures
Coordinate price packages with suppliers, subcontractors, owners, designers, and architects regarding tenders
Participate in site review, tender review, tender hand-off, and project closing, as required
Conducting a detailed analysis of the contract documents and specifications, to determine overall project requirements and identify any associated risk factors, including the monitoring of published addendums that may alter the original scope of the project.
Completing final bid submission to the client (in conjunction with the Estimating Manager as needed).
Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors
Liaise, consult and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors, and prepare economic feasibility studies on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
Maintain a database of cost information including but not limited to cost feedback from bids
Complete Post Bid / Post Project Analysis completion and ensure that associated learning and communication takes place.
Knowledge of industry standards, specifications, contract language/Terms, Conditions/Bonding, etc.
Minimum Qualifications
Post-secondary education with a diploma or degree related to Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Estimating, Engineering, or related education
A minimum of five (5) years of ICI estimating experience
Proven experience performing takeoffs and estimates on projects with values up to and over $20 million.
Knowledge of building construction, materials, systems, market conditions, and trade practices.

Salary: $80,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
