ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

A fantastic opportunity to join one of the UK's leading rolling stock consultancies, providing services to the UK's train operators, manufacturers, owners and maintainers.


This role will take the responsibility for delivery of work packages ensuring technical, quality, financial and delivery requirements are met whilst still ensuring customer satisfaction. To also contribute to the development of the capability and technical excellence fo the Electrical Engineering Department.

Key responsibilities for this Electrical Engineer role:


- Responsible for the excellence in technical delivery to projects.
- Contribute to the development of effective technical relationships with existing and new customers and supply chain partners.
- Responsible for the delivery of work packages agreed with other Engineering and Project teams to time, cost and quality.
- To provide technical support, advice, and guidance to other team members.
- Agree and manage work package budgets for the delivery of activity.

Experience required for this Electrical Engineer role:


- Graduate Engineer plus 2 years' experience or equivalent
- Working towards IEng or CEng with IET
- Experience working on milti-disciplined engineering projects in the field of Traction and Rolling Stock Engineering.
- Technical authoring and presentation skills
- Electrical systems integration design including vehicle modifications
- UK Rail Vehicle and related electrical systems experience/knowledge

Desirable skills & experience:


- Electrical component specification and system design
- Provision of electrical feasibility studies, including component replacement
- Production, review and approval f Quantified Risk Assessments
- Design pack production - modification procedures, risk assessments, electrical calculations
- Invitation to Tender (ITT) preparation and response
- Production and review of Project proposals
- Productions and review of Project cost estimates

Package offered for this role:


- Competitive salary - DOE.
- 37 hours
- 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
