Design Manager / Experienced Assistant Design Manager

An established main contractor is looking to appoint either a Design Manager or a highly experienced Assistant Design Manager to support the delivery of care and retirement living developments across the East Midlands. This is a site based role working closely with project and delivery teams on complex residential and later living schemes from pre-construction through to handover.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Experience working on care, retirement living or later living schemes
- Main contractor or residential developer experience
- Strong technical and design coordination capability
- Experience managing consultants and subcontractor design information
- Good understanding of buildability, compliance and programme delivery
- Ability to work closely with site teams in a live project environment
