Design Manager

£65,000 - £70,000 + package + all travel/lodging covered
A leading Tier 1 contractor is looking to appoint a Design Manager to deliver projects across the UK within the defence sector.
This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced Design Manager or an Assistant Design Manager ready to step up into their first full DM role.
Role
You will manage the design process from preconstruction through to completion, coordinating consultants and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on programme, within budget and fully compliant. You'll be involved across multiple sites nationally, taking full ownership of design and driving quality, buildability and coordination.
Requirements
Experience within a main contractor environment in a Design Management or Design Coordination role
Strong understanding of design and construction processes
Willingness to travel nationally (all expenses, mileage and lodging covered)
Driven, proactive and keen to progress within a growing business
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience on Ministry of Defence (MOD) projects is desirable.
