Freelance Contracts Manager
Location: Manchester
Rate: £400 - £450 per day
Engagement: Ltd Company (Outside IR35)
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 12 Months

My client is looking for an experienced Freelance Contracts Manager to lead and deliver a range of civil engineering projects across the North West and surrounding regions. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a well-established, multi-disciplinary contractor operating across civil engineering, energy & utilities.
Key Responsibilities for this Freelance Contracts Manager:
- Lead the delivery of civils projects (typically £500k-£5m value)
- Manage site teams, subcontractors, and direct labour
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
- Produce and manage project programmes, cost reports, and progress updates
- Coordinate with commercial, design, and procurement teams
- Attend client/site meetings, provide regular reporting
Requirements for this Freelance Contracts Manager:
- Proven experience delivering civils projects as Project / Contracts Manager
- Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills
- Knowledge of NEC or JCT contracts
- SMSTS, CSCS & First Aid certificates
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the region
