Certification Engineer

Job Description

We are currently looking to recruit a Certification & Authorization Engineer in Hennigsdorf, Germany.


The Certification & Authorization Engineer performs activities for the certification and authorization processes and activities along the whole lifecycle of products and subsystems. Essential part of this work is to support the C&A Manager in the Certification and Authorization process.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •  You carry out dedicated activities within the C&A processes in accordance with the C&A management. plan during all project phases
  •  You support the C&A Manager in the identification and preparation of requirements for Certification and/or Authorization
  •  You support the C&A Manager in the preparation of evidences plans (e.g. for TSIs or National Rules) with the project team
  •  You collect and compile the C&A evidences (e.g. for Pre-engagement, vehicle type Authorization, vehicles Authorization ) to be submitted to conformity assessment bodies and/or the authorising entities
  •  You organise periodic reviews of evidence documentation and assessment reports
  •  You maintain the certification related data in the requirement management tools (e.g. Doors/Excel)
  •  You compile and keep track of C&A relevant reporting (e.g. KPI, Cost overview)
  •  You collaborate with the project team: Engineering, RAMS, Quality, Planning, Validation, Maintenance, Sourcing
  •  You collaborate with independent assessors (e.g. NoBo, DeBo, AsBo) and authorising entities (e.g. ERA or NSA's)
  •  You participate to the modifications follow-up of the certified/authorised vehicle configuration(s)


QUALIFICATIONS:

  •  Bachelor/Masters Degree (Engineering, Physical Sciences, others
  •  Technician/Certified Engineer in the Rail Industry
  •  Experience in engineering projects
  •  High degree of accuracy, clear communication style
  •  Good experience with MS Office, Analysis/KPI preparation
  •  General knowledge of rail vehicles
  •  General knowledge of EU Authorization process
  •  General knowledge of functional safety and validation
  •  General knowledge of standards and regulations
  •  Ability to foster communications between multiple stakeholders
  •  Ability for getting into new topics, for analysis, synthesis and for problem-solving in technical environment
  •  English and German at a fluent level
