The business provides turnkey OHLE capabilities from design through installation and commissioning to final testing. Main Responsibilities
- Assist to coordinate the external audit and assurance activity with clients, ISO, FORS, RISQS by facilitating each audit and managing identified areas of improvement or non-compliance with the management teams.
- Work with the Corporate Head of Safety & Services in the maintenance of business certification necessary to address the scope of operations of the UK Group.
- Assist to prepare annual internal audit and assurance programmes to cover the scope of HSQE and Supplier requirements
- Liaise with the Engineering Director and his team to ensure engineering audit and assurance activity is included in the overall programme.
- Work with the Head of Procurement and Corporate Head of Safety & Services team in providing audit and compliance data to maintain/improve the management arrangements associated with supplier approval, audit and assurance activities.
- Act as member of the audits and assurance team allocated activities across the business and with approved suppliers to implement the established programmes.
- Maintain robust records of audit and assurance activities carried out within the overall assurance activities across the company.
- Support the team to carry out audit and assurance analysis, identify trends and support to provide a risk ranked approach and prioritise focus in the
- Prepare monthly audit and assurance reports for inclusion in the overall Safety & Service Directorate report.
- Assist the Head of Corporate Safety & Services in preparing data for Supplier Account Meetings (SAM).
The Ideal Candidate
- Excellent IT skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Full driving licence and access to vehicle
- The ability to stay calm and meet deadlines
- Build rapport with stakeholders and colleagues to work collaboratively.
- Flexibility to travel to different locations as required based on audit timetable
- Produce reports and able to analyse data and interpret trends to establish any issues or pre-empt areas for concern.
- Basic understanding of the railway and terminology or at least 18 months experience within a similar role.
- An organised and methodical approach to tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
