A Successful Principal Contractors Licence holder and key supplier to Network Rail with vast experience in the rail industry specialising in design, install, test and commissioning is looking to take on an Assistant Project Manager
The Assistant Project Manager will work within an established project team experienced in a wide range of railway disciplines
To be suitable for the Assistant Project Engineer role you will ideally have:
3+ years of previous experience in electrification and plant or Mechanical & Electrical in a rail environment
A degree / HNC in Electrical engineeing or relevant discipline
Experience in the Delivery of M&E or E&P projects to Network Rail Standards, his could include some or all of the following:-
- Signalling Power
- Points Heating
- Junction Lighting
- Walkway Lighting
- Earthing & Bonding
- HV works
- LV Distribution
- M&E Station upgrades and new builds
- Test & Inspection
- Tag & Trace survey reports
- Load Monitoring & Electrical Survey reports
Ideal Competencies but training can be provided:
- PTS
- COSS
- Electrical trade qualification (NVQ Level 3 or above)
- Test & Inspection
- ECS/CSCS
- Management of Health & Safety Training experience (e.g.SMSTS or similar)
- Previous CRE approvals and experience
Duties of the role
As an Assistant Project Engineer (E&P), your main responsibilities would be:
Acting as Assistant Project Engineer for Electrification and Plant activities as required
Working with the relevant Contractors Responsible Engineer (CRE) to supporting Design Development Reviews
Reviewing and approving design logs produced by the CRE, ensuring that key design decisions are noted.
