Project Manager

Job Description

Our client is a general contractor focused on large scale industrial projects. Due to to recent growth, they are looking to identify an experienced Project Manager.


Effectively manage site staff, equipment, materials, and trades ensuring adherence to design, project specifications, regulations, and safety codes.

Timely scheduling and coordinating of all trades and operations on site.
Proactively foresee, identify, address, and resolve issues and problems as required.

Ensure all required materials are onsite each day prior to daily work commencing.

Promote safe work practices and ensure adherence to all company safety policies.

Provide regular communication in terms of project status and updates to Project Manager.

Lead and assess trade performance on the job.

Ensure timesheets, sign in sheets, daily status updates and any other documentation is completed and submitted.

Obtain building, development and occupancy permits as required.

Liaise with Construction Coordinator to maintain accurate documentation for purchase orders, change orders and drawings.

Other duties as assigned.


Possess a minimum of 5 - 7 years’ site supervision experience within the commercial construction industry.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and scheduling software (Microsoft Project).

Completed a related technical diploma and/or industry related trade certification.

Possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to effectively work with

Project Managers, trades, inspectors, architects, tenants, and customers.

Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail, and the ability to meet strict deadlines under stressful situations.

Knowledge of different construction methods, sequencing, problem solving and timelines with the ability to read and understand a variety of construction and shop drawings.
