Project Manager

Job Description

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join a main contractor and work on an exciting rail project and frameworks close to Treforest, Wales.

The company are market leaders within the rail and civil engineering sector and your role as a Project Manager will be responsible for looking after Civils works on a railway project as part of Transport For Wales frameworks and project workers.

Your responsibilities for this Project Manager role:
- Responsible for the safe execution of one or more simultaneous projects from as directed by the Contracts Manager, in accordance with a valid, executed contract, per company policies, procedures and work instructions. To ensure commercial objectives are met and enhance the reputation of the company.
- Overseeing the civils works, including foorbridges, platforms, station refurbs etc.
- Ensure that the site teams rigorously adhere to Network Rail's Life Saving Rules and reporting requirements
- Liaising with statutory undertakers, stakeholders and clients as and when required
- Support the tender process including review of pre-tender information, planning, estimating and quality submissions

Experience required for this Project Manager role:
- Around 6-10 years of relevant experience within the rail sector.
- PTS and CSCS card holder.
- Excellent leadership, communication and IT skills
- Temporary works ( not essential )
- SMSTS needed.
