Health and Safety Coordinator
This is a great opportunity for a Health and Safety Coordinator, or someone who is looking to step up into this role. You will be working for a reputable rolling stock manufacturing company who specialise in traction systems of bogies, wheels & axles, wheelsets, gearboxes and final drives.
Your role as Health and Safety Coordinator will be be responsible for the support and production in achieving challenging customer requirements, in line with the relevant Health and Safety, environmental and energy reduction legislation, promoting best practice and an environment of continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities for this Health and Safety Coordinator role:
• Develop, advise and implement health and safety policy
• Monitor and promote environmental and energy initiatives
• Manage and advise on hazardous materials, environmental and waste
• Supporting onsite visitors and contractors
• Audit and produce Health and Safety KPIs with a view to reducing reportable incidents and time lost
Experience required for this Health and Safety Coordinator role:
• NEBOSH qualified
• Have experience within a heavy engineering background (ie,
automotive, agricultural, rail
• Minimum 2 years’ experience of Health and Safety Management in a
production environment
• Demonstrable proactive approach and continuous improvement
mind-set
• Good written and verbal communicator
• Experience working with IT systems and software
• Prior experience of producing reporting documents and KPIs
Package offered for Health and Safety Coordinator role:
• £32,000- £33,000
