Job Title: Design Engineering Manager
Location: Glasgow or Aberdeen (offices in both locations)
Salary: £75,000 - £85,000 DOE plus company benefits

A fantastic Design Engineering Manager opportunity has arisen with a Tier 1 Engineering Contractor, operating across Ireland, UK & Northern Europe in the power transmission and distribution, data centre and pharmaceuticals sectors. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow and develop their leadership capabilities in a company committed to developing talent and rewarding performance.
Key Role Purpose of the Design Engineering Manager:
As a Design Engineering Manager, you will join a well-established Transmission & Distribution team, and be responsible for the management, coordination and support of the Design team.
- Manage both internal electrical design resources and external design consultants for both electrical and civil engineering works.
- Assist and resource internal design team.
- Oversee project design cost & programmes reviews.
- Ensure all statutory, regulatory, delivery and legal requirements are met to enable timely and appropriate project delivery.
Requirements of the Design Engineering Manager:
- Detailed working knowledge of Distribution Networks and Power Distribution Specifications
- HNC in relevant Engineering Discipline with significant experience - Chartered status preferred.
- Sound commercial awareness - financial analysis, budget forecasting and budget management.
- Stakeholder and people management skills.
- Essential - full, current driving licence.
- Happy to travel across sites.
