Job Title: Appointed Person Lift Planner
Location: Doncaster
Salary / Benefits: up to £40K depending on experience

In the RAIL segment, a full service provider and offers its customers the whole range of services from Consulting and System Design to Installation and Maintenance.

Your requirements:
Appointed Person lift planning experience with a minimum of 2 years.
Planning and delivery of lifting operations experience is essential.
Valid PTS and competencies relevant for the role, must as part of this, have or have previously held machine/crane controller competency.
Good Computer literacy with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Full driving licence and vehicle with the ability to travel to different locations as and when required.
Experience in working alongside operational and plant teams.
Have an understanding of the requirements of GE/RT8000 - HB15 Duties of the machine controller (MC) and/or On-Track Plant (OTP) operator.
Ability to Plan and organise to meet targets and deadlines.
Good judgement and analytical ability and ability to work within a team.
The role:
An experienced appointed person(AP) - Lifting Operations planner.
Able to produce high quality lift plans for cranes, lorry loaders and telescopic handlers.
Carry out site surveys, site programmes and site reports in order to deliver plans safely and accurately.
To ensure the machine and crane controller on site are competent as per Sentinel to operate the machines on site.
Ensure all site paperwork meets the required standards, by prior confirmation that the planning is satisfactory and understood.
Responsible to produce Lift Plans for the safe use of equipment on all SPL Powerlines worksites and external Hire and POS locations as required.
Communicate on a weekly basis with other SPL planners to ensure updates are cascaded and assist with potential issues.
General knowledge of various rail and plant machines and equipment.
Complete site walkouts, assessing any site access hazards, access and egress storage.
Compiling data on walkout sheets and completing on track plan sheets.
Supporting the team with the planning of works.
Attend PC / Whiteboard meetings, as and when required for all new works.
