Project Contract Manager (m/f/d) for our location in Hennigsdorf, Germany

We are currently looking to recruit a Project Contract Manager to be a key member of the project team, working in close collaboration with the Project Manager and core project team, in Hennigsdorf, Germany.
You will provide guidance and leadership to develop, implement, and drive proactive contract / claim management and risk mitigation strategies in accordance with the business objectives, including extensions of time (EoTs), variations orders, contract amendments. You will ensure proper record keeping and file preparation in support of robust claim files.

Responsibilities:
- Drive the Contract Management activities towards customer, partners and suppliers with the support, when resources are allocated, of Project Ccontract Mmanager(s) and/or Contract Administrator(s).
- Ensure application of best practice in Contract, Claims and Insurance Management and according to the governance
- Drive preparation, review and implementation of all relevant internal contractual documents, such as of Contract Summary, Contract Management Strategy Plan and implement those in the day-to-day project work
- Be on top of the contract and provide at any time reliable and understandable contractual and commercial analysis of the project.
- Drive risk & opportunity assessment for contractual and commercial topics. Anticipate events and risks associated with the contract management activities; proposes alternative proactive solutions to keep the situation under control.
- Work closely with all project functions, especially Planning Managers, to control the time plan, identify and mitigate risks; and to identify, maximize, and leverage variation order and claim opportunities.
- Monitor Works toward contract obligations, including monitoring of project schedule toward achieving contractual milestones.
- Participate in all relevant customer meetings
- Establish a strong relationship with your counterpart on customer side
- Prepare and co-lead (where applicable) contractual and commercial negotiations with external parties.
- Ensure timely issuance of contractual notices to customers/partners.
- Establish and implement project specific commercial procedures, particularly regarding correspondences, notifications, insurance, variation requests/orders and claims preparation files.
- In collaboration with the Project core team members, you will ensure a reliable filing and easy access of correspondence from and to customers/partners
- Manage and draft contractual correspondence.
- Develop a commercial strategy based on contractual analysis of the project, to protect, on a daily basis, interests toward customers and partners and suppliers.
- Carefully monitor, record, and notify customer/partners regarding claims / counterclaims, variation orders and prepare and manage all elements and supporting documentation, build a strategy and participate in the related negotiations.
- Report on contract management and claims activities to the project, and Legal, and Contract Management teams.
- Provide training on contract/claim management to key project stakeholders
- Knowing how to use Wall C is a plus.
- Train, develop, and share knowledge and expertise with Project Contract Managers, Junior Project Contract Managers and Project Contract Administrators

Key requirements/Qualifications:
- BSc Degree or master's degree in Law, Engineering, Economics or Business Administration, or other relevant background.
- At least 5 years of working experience in Contract / Claim Management.
- Good diplomatic skills, and the ability to guide, influence and convince others.
- Good problem-solving skills, prioritizing & managing time in a short deadline environment.
- Analyze large amounts of information, rigours and structured, determine relevant facts, and propose viable solutions
- Proactive, dynamic and solution-oriented individual with strong attention to detail
- In-depth knowledge of good practice of ethics and compliance
- Willingness and ability to be creative and bring forward new ideas and innovations.
- Fluency in English and German.
- Willingness to travel from time to time, mostly within Germany.
