I am currently working with an interior design company who are looking for a Finishing Manager who has experience dealing with the FF&E.
The company deal with high end, high spec residential units
Key Responsibilities:
Introduction:
- Finishing Manager will complete project introduction (introduction to site, stake holders, project documents and design schemes).
- Complete systems training.
- Complete CSCS qualification.
- Quickly gain a strong understanding of the project scope. Inclusive of but not limited to, client, deadlines, budgets, contractual agreements, suppliers and design schemes.
Communication:
- Establish a clear channel of communication with all key stake holders and ensure that information is accurately and promptly distributed throughout the course of the project.
- Attend regular progression meeting with key stake holders. Preparation and distribution of project updates as and when required.
Planning:
- Finishing Manager will carry out a full assessment of site access and delivery constraints. Develop a delivery plan and pre-emptively strategize solutions to eliminate access and delivery risks.
- Prepare, coordinate and successfully distribute a delivery plan, critical path and schedule of works to all key stake holders.
- Collaborate with Taylor Howes logistics partner to establish a delivery schedule for fixed lighting, furniture and soft furnishings.
- Coordinate delivery slots with CBRE for direct supplier deliveries to site.
- Create inventories and image files per apartment.
- Prepare site information packs for all key state holders. Inclusive of but not limited to, schedules, contacts, access details, floorplans, inventories (lighting, furniture, soft furnishings) and images.
- Coordinate meeting with internal stake holders to present final delivery plan to distribute site information packs.
- Prepare and procure lightbulbs, installation kits etc.
- Finishing Manager will issue finalised installation schedule to the client and contractors.
Governance:
- Finishing Manager will be responsible for maintaining accurate project records.
- Review suppliers and contractors’ insurance documents.
- Supervise all suppliers and Staff whilst on site. Ensuring site rules and Health & Safety measures are complied with and enforced. Inclusive of but not limited to, PPE, behaviour, communication, collaboration etc.
- Issue any costings needed to Client ahead of deliveries and installation to ensure they have adequate insurance in place.
- Immediately report damages and risks that occur during the installation to key stake holders.
Liaison & Delivery:
- Attend and coordinate all visits to site. Inclusive of but not limited to; access checks, supplier templating, walk arounds, progression checks, goods deliveries, installations.
- Carry out site walkthrough and induction with suppliers ahead of unloading.
- Delivery all goods in accordance with floorplans and apartment schemes. Inclusive of but not limited to, furniture, lighting, house packs and accessories.
Quality Control:
- Supervise and carry out quality control checks on all goods deliveries to site.
- Liaise with logistics partner regarding deliveries, and check condition reports for goods delivered to warehouse facility.
Snagging:
- Finishing manager will flag any snagging to relevant suppliers and send picture and agree on action plan.
- Coordinate any repairs.
Aftercare:
- Finishing Manager will prepare, review and issue final Aftercare/OM Manual for all goods procured for the Client.
- Prepare, review and issue final Procurement Manual for all goods procured for the Client.
On offer will be a day rate on £250 per day based on CIS rates.
