Estimator – Construction

Up to £70,000 + Package (Negotiable DOE)
We’re recruiting on behalf of an established and growing contractor in Leicestershire for an experienced Estimator to join their pre-construction team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work across specialist sectors, with the client open to candidates from all build sectors who can bring strong, transferable estimating experience.
The Role
You will be responsible for producing accurate and competitive tenders across a mix of new build and refurbishment projects. Working closely with commercial and operational teams, you will play a key role in securing future projects and supporting business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and employer’s requirements
- Manage subcontractor and supplier enquiries and comparisons
- Identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering options
- Contribute to bid strategy and pre-construction planning
- Support the handover of successful tenders to delivery teams
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience as an Estimator within the construction industry
- Open to candidates from all build sectors (commercial, residential, industrial, etc.)
- Strong understanding of estimating and tendering processes
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills
- Proactive approach with strong attention to detail
