Commercial Manager - Telecoms 

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Commercial Manager to join a main contractor that provide a comprehensive range of telecommunication infrastructure services.

In your role as Commercial Manager you will be responsible for the management of commercial, contractual and general quantity surveying issues on a project / group of operations basis to ensure full contractual and monetary entitlement in the most advantageous terms to the Company.

Key responsibilities for this Commercial Manager role:

  • Pre Contract – assisting in the preparation of tenders and supporting the bid and estimating teams
  • Business Unit Management - marketing the business with existing and new clients to assist the business development team.
  • Project Delivery - perform Commercial Lead function and engage with the project teams to ensure consistent delivery of successful projects, support the Operations Director to ensure all significant project issues, correspondence and all necessary contractual processes have been observed.  
  • Procurement - facilitate, analyse and assess subcontract quotations, negotiate sub-contract packages.
  • Main and Subcontracts - ensure surveyors understand their responsibilities for the preparation and negotiation of interim valuations and final accounts, ensure that claims by subcontractors have been addressed, and support the surveying team in preparing any necessary documentation/correspondence.
  • Financial / Legal / Dispute - actively managing and monitoring financial aspects of contracts at all stages, dispute management, communication of potential risks to the Commercial Director

 

Experience required for this Commercial Manager role:

  • 5+ years experience in a senior commercial management role
  • Excellent legal, contractual and data interrogation knowledge
  • Telecoms industry experience
  • Ability to effectively communicate and negotiate
  • Bid knowledge
  • BSc in Quantity Surveying / similar commercial related course / professional membership of appropriate body (desirable)

 

Package offered for this Commercial Manager role:

  • Up to £80,000 DOE
  • 26 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Pension Scheme
