I'm currently working with a leading contractor to appoint an experienced Commercial Lead for a major water infrastructure project.
This is an outstanding opportunity to take ownership of the commercial function on a large-scale capital project, playing a key role in the successful delivery of a nationally significant programme. Working alongside an experienced leadership team, you'll be responsible for driving commercial performance, managing risk and leading a high-performing commercial team.
The Role
- Lead the commercial function on a major water infrastructure project
- Develop and drive the commercial strategy throughout the project lifecycle
- Oversee cost management, forecasting and commercial reporting
- Manage procurement, subcontractor performance and contractual compliance
- Identify and mitigate commercial risks while maximising project opportunities
- Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and the wider delivery team
- Lead, mentor and develop the commercial team
About You
- Proven experience operating as a Commercial Lead or Senior Commercial Manager
- Strong civil engineering or infrastructure background
- Demonstrable experience delivering large-scale capital projects
- Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts
- Excellent commercial acumen, leadership and stakeholder management skills
