​What is a Site Superintendent?

A Site Superintendent has the responsibility of supervising building of houses, commercial building, hospitals, schools, bridges and roads. Site Superintendents take charge of scheduling, supervising activities and maintaining the safety and compliance on site. 

What are the typical daily duties for a Site Superintendent?

From employer to employer and project to project the job description of a Site Superintendent can vary, however typical duties and activities undertaken include:

  • Creating cost estimates, including supplies, materials and labor costs for projects

  • Hiring and assigning construction work for projects

  • Monitoring the construction process

  • Meeting with property owners to discuss specifications of a construction project

  • Preparing and reviewing reports and progress

Infinity Park - Manufacturing Research Centre

Costing in the region of £15million this project will see a world-beating advanced manufacturing research centre built in Derby, which will help companies develop new techniques and processes to win work within the nuclear sector.

Future High Streets Fund

This regeneration scheme will see improvements to Derby city centre, including refurbishment of the Market Hall and better and more visual use of signage, ornamentation and street furniture, which will help offer visitors a better experience. The scheme is estimated to cost £15million.

Improving travel and connectivity in and outside of Derby

This £161 project, which will be divided between Derby and Nottingham will see an improvement to travel in and out of Derby and the creation of hundreds of additional jobs.
