​What is a Network planner?

A Network Planner is a key profession within the telecoms sector. The role of a Network Planner is to plan the development of customer access telecommunications network infrastructure. Due to the technical nature of this role, to become a Network Planner you will usually need a formal qualification within telecommunications.

What are the typical duties and activities for a Network Planner?

​Wolverhampton is a city in the West Midlands. As of the 2011 census, Wolverhampton had a population of 249,470 and covers a total area of 26 square miles. Wolverhampton has seen numerous construction projects over the past couple of years and has multiple constructions projects in the pipeline, such as:

City Centre Metro Extension

As part of the Wolverhampton Interchange, the West Midlands Metro extension will run from a junction with the existing West Midlands Metro system close to the current terminus at Wolverhampton St. George’s through to Wolverhampton Railway Station. West Midlands Metro will stop at the city’s Bus Station on Pipers Row, before continuing to Wolverhampton Railway Station, allowing easy interchange with other modes of transport. This West Midlands Metro extension is part of an overall investment in the city in excess of £150m and will create 1,500 jobs.
